Of her 20+ years of engineering experience, Stephanie has practiced in southwest Florida since 2005. Upon graduation with her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Stephanie relocated to Jacksonville to begin her career. Throughout 2003 and 2004, she switched gears to work alongside her husband on big box retail construction sites in Alabama and Tennessee, affording her the opportunity to experience the construction process in much greater detail. Her time in the field enhanced her conceptualization of the intergrated relationship between design and construction.
Stephanie’s professional credentials include her professional engineer’s license obtained in 2000, her professional accreditation in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED AP) obtained in 2009, her Florida Qualified Stormwater Inspector certification in 2012, and most recently, her Advanced Maintenance of Traffic certification in 2018. Although she did not further pursue an application for licensure, she did sit for and pass the State of Florida General Contractor’s examination in 2006. Her mixture of education, credentials, constructive relationships with permitting agency staff, and relevant experience contribute to the overall and cumulative success of her career.
In 2009, Stephanie struck out on her own to provide public and private clients with the type of service she has always provided as an engineer working for others. Besides design knowledge, Stephanie understands the key to a successful project lies in the strong relationship and continual communication between professional and client. Stephanie founded Greensite Engineering on the principle of providing exemplary client service and cost-effective design solutions at reasonable fees. Stephanie’s strong personal and professional work ethic shines through in all of her projects, as evidenced by the favorable relationships she’s forged through the years.
